Tabla’s Use
The tabla, being one sophisticatedly unique instrument, can be played in a solo performance or with a group accompaniment. Masters of this instrument can play the tabla solo and really display the full ability of the instrument but to do so takes time to practice. You may also play the tabla in an ensemble to provide both the beat and the rhythm as the case may be. The addition of the tabla gives any song or musical piece that unique ethnic sound evident in tribal, even reggae songs. You can even explore dance rhythms with it as it allows the player a broad range of sounds and timbres that only the tabla can offer. Whatever is your preference, the important thing that most musical maestros will remind a student is: passion.
