My Take On “This Is No Time for Games”
As usual, Peggy Noonan zeros in on the deepest parts of the truth. Being one of the older 50 group, I agree wholeheartedly with her analysis. We do fear today and the future. As I look out for the future of the grandkids, I really worry for them, and they are fortunate enough to be growing up in a world based on values, ethics and the golden rule. However, as I look around me, I fear for our deepest fear society and our Country. The debacle on the deficit seems to reveal the ineffectiveness of the system I was raised to live by. It is all the more surprising because so many of those in leadership roles are of my own generation and should share our experience. I continue to hope and pray … and stay politically engaged … for a better today and tomorrow.
