Wrap accounts
I am sold on wrap accounts. I previously thought they were only for people with $100k plus to invest, but one was recently recommended to me and the minimum investment for the fees to be cost effective is just $25k. $100k is out of my league, but $25k I can do. All the funds I am able to invest in are wholesale funds so they have lower fees and there is a lot of choice. The minimum investment per fund is $1000 so I have chosen 8 funds so that my money isn’t all in one fund. From reading the guide it is easy to switch too - only need to send them a fax specifying which holdings to sell and which to buy.
