IVF at Bumrungrad Hospital, Bangkok

After trying to conceive without success for four years, I finally got myself examined, and discovered that I had inoperative fallopian tubes. The only options we had were adoption and in-vitro fertilization. My husband wanted to adopt a baby, but I wanted to give IVF a try. But the cost of each cycle in the United States is so high that the odds were stacked against me. I was on the verge of agreeing with my husband and going ahead with an adoption when a common friend suggested that we explore the option of getting IVF done overseas. She recommended the Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. We took her suggestion and decided to give it a shot. We had nothing to lose, because the cost was nearly one-tenth of what my obstetrician quoted in the United States, and we badly needed a vacation. Three months later, I found myself pregnant! We were absolutely overjoyed. I wanted to have the baby in the US, so we traveled back after another month. Now I am just three weeks from term, and I am all excited. My heartfelt thanks to Bumrungrad for making my dream come true. And all of you who read this article, please pray that I deliver a healthy baby.
