Okay, I admit it, I’m a used store junkie.  Goodwill, St. Vincent de Paul, and a hundred little thrift stores, I know them all.  The used appliance stores are my favorite, I think.  I love being able to find coffee makers, mattresses, bread machines, and pretty much any other thing I can think of for super cheap.  And it makes me really happy to know that I’m reusing resources and not buying in to the consumer culture that says everything has to be new, even if that means sweatshops and poorly made products.  I can furnish an entire apartment that way!
