Any parent will be familiar with the idea of fundraising for their child’s school, youth group or church. Fundraisers are a regular part of life and that was before the credit crunch. Money is tight everywhere so you can be sure that the organizations that are not funded by the state and rely on public donatations are going to struggle in the future. People may like to be generous but when your own house is on the line and at risk of foreclosure you cannot afford to donate to help other people.

What you can do is to donate your time. You can get out there and help raise the funds to keep these worthwhile organizations going. There are many ways to help raise money and you can have a lot of fun while doing some of them and still be doing something beneficial for your community by fundraising for good causes.
