Insurance Email Marketing – Suppression Lists

When you are planning an insurance email marketing campaign, you should ensure you are not using a suppression list. A suppression list simply put is a list of suppressed email addresses that senders use to ensure they stay in compliance with the 2003 Spam Act.

The Spam Act requires all emails sent to provide a working opt-out option where the email recipient can choose to stop receiving emails from the sender by unsubscribing their email address. Although these unsubscribed email addresses are valid, they are suppressed and should not be used by anyone. Instead, you should consider purchasing a scrubbed list.
