Ginny and Kat’s Girl Talk
Whenever Ginny and Kat get together it always devolves into endless girl talk. They’re both crowding 40, but they sound like a couple of 16 year olds. It’s not just gossip either. Lots of chat about “cute guys” at work, restaurants they’ve been to, and how fat they feel.
I’m not sure what the equivalent if for us guys. When Jim and I are having some beer call, it’s mostly stuff about problems at work and baseball and politics. It wouldn’t even occur to me to say anything about the 30 pounds I’ve gained, and if it did I’d probably pat my belly and be proud of it.
