My Cousin the Travel Agent
My cousin started a travel agency when she moved out here from California. It was a smart choice for her since she has always loved setting her own hours. The building she was renting was on a great street in town, and many people were drawn to the clean, new store. When it came time to set up the agency, she did everything herself. She decorated, polished, furnished, and babied that store. She even purchased brochure paper and made travel brochures that matched the colors of the room décor. She really went all out and people noticed. She became the most popular travel agent in town. Of course, that could be because she was the only travel agent in town. I guess it pay to know your market!
