Long-Term Consequences of Salmonellosis
When someone gets the infection called Salmonellosis that is caused by eating food that contained the bacteria salmonella, they will experience many symptoms. However, not everyone will completely recover from the infection. The people who were infected that only experienced diarrhea will generally make a full recovery. However, some people may suffer effects for a long time. People who have long-term problems because of salmonellosis usually experience things like joint pain, eye irritation, and even pain during urination. There is a name for this. It is called Reiter’s syndrome. It can occur over a long period of time from months to even years, and it could even cause chronic arthritis.
