Construction is Evolving and Going Green
My brother has commented to me that the construction industry is evolving. To keep up with the changes, he recently took a training course and passed an exam for LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. He said that each building that he works on gets a LEED certification based on variables for performance, waste reduction, and quality of life. My brother said that the certification works for all types of buildings and not just homes. He was thrilled that he passed the test the first time. Because of this, his supervisor is giving him new job duties within the company and a pay raise.
