My Son Enjoys Reading Aloud Now
I was shopping last week with my 10-year-old son and we stopped in an educational store. I was surprised by all the software applications they have available as teaching tools. My son picked out two phonics programs thinking they were games rather than educational tools. Naturally, I purchased them for him; I figured since he picked them out, he is more likely to use them. I was correct in my thinking because he has been using them daily and it seems to have helped his confidence since he has been reading aloud without being asked in school. That is a major accomplishment because he always told me how much he did not enjoy reading aloud.
