Multi-Casting is a new type of technology that is associated with digital TV signals. With digital signals TV stations are able to use up much smaller amounts of the spectrum. Since they are able to use smaller portions it allows them to offer multiple channels at one time. This is where multi-casting comes in. With multi-casting channels will be able to offer channels 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, etc… This means those channels can put reruns, news, or weather on the sub channels.
